Blessed Are The Pure At Heart: Filipino Style

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. – The Gospel According to St Matthew Chapter 5 There is something humbling about men and women who possess a purity of heart. In my life I have found many such people and many have one thing in common. They get their hands dirty and often toil in the most difficult of conditions. So it was when I experienced a tire blow-out yesterday. Luckily, neither Zabrina or I were hurt and we didn’t hit anything or hurt anyone else. There was an almighty bang then a fearsome noise. It comes as no surprise to me that Fr. O’ Neal reported about a ‘Mother God.’ Many people who experienced a Christian upbringing come to think of God as a male, dressed in flowing…

Eternal Truth – Part 1

Eternal truth is something many seek. I venture that eternal truth cannot be found in drugs, alcohol or any other trappings of this world. Many of you know me and whether or not you share my Christian beliefs, we respect each other. That’s the way it should be. The purpose of this series is NOT to ram my beliefs down anyone’s throat. I make no apologies for my beliefs nor should I have to apologize. The nearest I will come to an apology is to any of you that are learned theologians. I am not. You may disagree…
